Earlier this week briefings were held in both Senate Finance and House Health and Government Operations on the status of Medicaid redeterminations. These have proved challenging for tens of thousands of Marylanders as we pointed out in our letter to Governor Hogan.
A joint presentation was made by the Departments of Health and Mental Hygiene and Human Resources and the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange. Leni Preston of the Coalition, Cindy Carter of the Cancer Support Foundation and Kim Wireman of Powell Recovery Center presented the consumer perspective. Read Leni's testimony, which was based on an Issue Brief with recommendations to improve the redetermination processes. Contact us if you want more information or have stories to share.
