Network Adequacy Regulations

We worked hard in the 2016 General Assembly Session to address the need to ensure that insurance carriers’ provider networks are adequate based upon clear quantitative standards.  We are grateful that Governor Hogan signed HB1318.  Now the regulatory process begins with a series of hearings at the Maryland Insurance Administration, at which stakeholders and others will provide their perspective on this critical issue.

The first hearing is on Thursday, June 2 from 10 AM to Noon The topic will be current standards adopted by CMS, the Federally Facilitated Marketplace and other States.
