To Your Health!

Maryland’s champions of health care reform gathered on May 19, 2016 for a festive evening of celebration. Over the past ten years, the Maryland Women’s Coalition for Health Care Reform has pursued its mission to advance health equity through access to high quality, comprehensive and affordable health care. As a collaborative, we have been the lead voice for consumers on health policy. During that time, hundreds of thousands of Marylanders have benefited from our work.

At To Your Health!, we toasted the accomplishments of the Coalition and raised our glass to others who have been true health care reformers. We honored Senator Barbara Mikulski who has represented represented the people of Maryland in the United States Congress for 38 years. In 2010, she stood by President Obama’s side as he signed the Affordable Care Act. Included in this landmark law was Senator Mikulski’s Women’s Health Amendment, which ensured that women have access to the health care they need and deserve.

Our silent auction was exciting with fabulous items purchased such as vacations in South Beach and Orlando, great restaurant packages, jewelry, and so much more!  The jammin' jazz of the Jumpstreet Band kept everyone moving. Enjoy a few photos from our celebration below:
